When washing your fur baby at home there are a few things you can do to make yourself and your beloved dog comfortable.

The first and probably the most important task is to make sure everything you need to make the washing and drying experience as quick and painless as possible is already organised and in one place before taking on this wet adventure.

Secondly, make sure the water is at the right temperature preferably at 37°C be careful not to let the temperature rise above this as it could result in a bad experience for you and your dog, the hot water can be stressful and painful for your dog and can put a strain on your dog’s heart.

Thirdly make sure you have the appropriate dog shampoo, using your shampoo on your dog might not always be the best idea as overusing this destroys his natural oils and can leave his hair very hard. And I bet you wouldn’t love snuggling with your fur baby if he feels like a large pineapple.

The last thing before starting the drying process is rinsing your, fur baby, properly. Make sure you rinse off all the soap properly and avoid getting soapy water into your dog’s eyes.
