Splish splash we are going to be taking a spikey bath.
When you are a new spikey floof parent, you will need to learn few things.
So let’s get started, make sure you have everything you need to make this spa day memorable.
Fill your sink with lukewarm water and place a facecloth at the bottom of the sink to prevent your spikey friend from scuba diving without the right gear.
Gently place your hedgy into the water and use a cup to start wetting his quills, if the water is too dirty after this you can drain the sink and draw him a new bath.
When you start washing your hedgy use the appropriate soap and a toothbrush and gently start brushing the quills in the direction of their growth. Do this until you can see he is clean enough. If you are not satisfied yet you can pour a few drops of soap into your hand and gently massage your hedgy.
If you are then happy, you can rinse him, drain the water again, draw him another bath, and then completely rinse off all the soap. This is a very important step because if you don’t rinse him properly the soap can irritate his skin and leave him very unhappy.
Now let’s tuck and roll to drying your spikey floof. After giving him a fabulous bath it is important to end this spikey spa day on a soft fluffy note. Make sure you’ve got a fluffy towel on hand to dry your baby, and don’t forget the oh-so-loved belly rub.
And so you have completed this task successfully, until next time.
